Hello, I'm Tim.
I work in CX & marketing in Tokyo.

My focus rests with customer experience and marketing. Shaping how companies talk to people and, more importantly, how they listen. Good CX is applied anthropology: understanding what people actually need, where they struggle, and how a company can be genuinely useful. I've put that thinking to work with Sony, Amazon, Uniqlo and Huge. Each a different kind of problem, a different kind of audience.

Before and alongside the day job, I run a small independent label in Tokyo, releasing limited-edition cassettes and organising tours for artists from the UK, Ireland, Germany and Australia.
More recently, I've become interested in building with AI: using code as a medium to think through niche problems and make things that wouldn't otherwise exist.
