Hello, I'm Tim.
Marketing & CX, based in Tokyo.

My work is in customer experience and marketing, shaping how companies talk to people and, more importantly, how they listen. I view good CX like applied anthropology: understanding what people actually need, where they struggle, and how a company can be genuinely useful. I've put that thinking to work with Sony, Amazon, Uniqlo and Huge. Each a different kind of problem, a different kind of audience.

Alongside the day job, I have run a small independent label in Tokyo, releasing limited-edition cassettes and organising tours for artists from the UK, Ireland, Germany and Australia. I've also been building with AI, using code as a way to think through niche problems and make things I couldn't any other way.
